NIN ENROLMENT: Book NOW

After enrolment, NIMC issues a National Identification Number (NIN), which is a unique number that identifies an individual for life. It’s used to match a person’s biometric data and other information in the National Identity Database (NIDB). NIN is a number that is used to link all of a person’s information in Nigeria’s national database and to verify their identification. All citizens and legal residents in Nigeria, from age zero (birth) and above are eligible to enroll for their NIN.

We’ll use your Nigerian International Passport AND, if you have one, your Bank Verification Number (BVN) to authenticate your identity at the Enrolment Center. The supplementary papers listed below can also be utilized to back up your enrollment. Original copies are the only ones that will be accepted:

• Old Nigerian National ID Card
• Nigerian Voters Card
• Nigerian Birth Certificate
• Nigerian Government Staff ID Card
• Nigerian NHIS ID Card
• Attestation Letter from a Prominent Ruler in your Community
• Attestation Letter from Religious / Traditional Leader
•  Attestation Letter from Nigerian Embassy / Mission
• Declaration of Age
• Nigerian International Passport (Valid or Expired)
• And your BVN number (if you have any) you must bring it along with you.
